Description from the shelter
Shayla is a very sweet girl, a bit cautious with new people she meets but once she knows you, she is an affectionate girl. Because of this, we are looking for a owner with some experience with rescue dogs and patience to let her discover everything at her own pace. She shares her kennel well with the other dogs and is very gentle with the shelter cats. Shayla loves her walks and loves to sniff as she goes along.
How Shayla came to RSDR
We rescued Shayla and her five siblings on the 26 July 2013. Their mother (Bonita) tried her upmost to defend her pups from a number of children who were horribly abusing them and a few local adults who were attempting to kill them. Sadly, when we got there, one of the puppies had already been killed. We brought Mum and the remaining pups back to the safety of the shelter.
