In February of 2011, 3 puppies who had been born in the forest, started to make their way down into town. They had probably set off following their mother and became lost as we never did see the mum. These pups were Nita and her two brothers. It took a lot of time and coaxing before we were able to catch them and bring them back to the shelter. Nita is still with us and is showing her age. She is almost completely blind, going deaf and has slowed down significantly. She is still a happy girl and loves her cuddles.
