Born: 26 February 2017
Measurements: weighs 21 kilos. Height: 53 cm tall.
On 7 April 2017, a street dog had given birth to a litter under a house on the edge of the forest. The puppies were crying for their mother who had not been seen for a while.
RSDR caught them and took them to the shelter as they were starting to roam. Beautiful Marence is one of the pups now grown and was friendly to everyone: dogs, cats, the shelter staff and new volunteers.
Marence is currently in a foster home in Suffolk in the UK and is now ready to find a forever home of her own.
Marence's foster carer says she is now starting to settle in well into home life after a few weeks in foster care and gets on well with her other dogs. She says she has such a sweet character and walks well on the lead. She loves her walks so would suit an active family. She absolutely loves being on the sofa and this is her comfy safe place, so we would love it if she has sofa dog friendly owners to help give her that security with settling. Marence can still be unsure about the outside garden, so needs encouragement and time to show it's a safe place, with the use of chicken and time/patience. We do advise however that she be kept on a harness/longline when out in the garden in the initial stages, as she has been flighty whilst settling, but this is getting better and worked on with our foster carer. She also prefers to go the toilet out on her walks, so house training still needs to be worked on.
Marence is an absolutely beautiful girl, who absolutely loves attention, and praise. With time, love and understanding this sweet girl is starting to come into her own and will make any family a wonderful loyal pet.
