Description from the shelter
Lonnie is a sweet and happy dog and is looking for a family that offers her a safe and loving home. Lonnie has been at the shelter for years now and her chances of adoption seem to be diminishing. We still hope we can find her a perfect home for her golden years - a stable dog companion would be nice to make her feel at home faster. No small children and a rural location would be ideal. She has been at the shelter all of her life so will need a kind and patient owner who will allow her to adjust at her own pace.
How Lonnie came to RSDR
Lonnie was born at the shelter in November 2011. Her mother was Nina, a very gentle girl who we found on the street. Nina had an ear tag and a large surgical wound on her stomach which indicated she had been spayed. It therefore came as big surprise she turned out to be pregnant and ended up giving birth to five healthy puppies, of which Lonnie was one.
