Fern is quite a nervous dog at the shelter. We would like to see her in a quiet environment with people who understand that she will take time to adjust to a home environment. In addition, we feel she would benefit from living with a calm and stable dog as she currently looks to her sister Maya for reassurance. Fern can get spooked by large lorries driving past the shelter so we think a rural home would suit her best.
Fern travels well in the car and responds well to the cats at the shelter. With time and love, Fern will be a wonderful companion.
How Fern came to RSDR
Fern and her eight siblings were born under an abandoned house. First we rescued Boomer on the 19 May 2017, then Elvis, Hero and Rex on the 24 May 2017 and finally Basil, Devlin, Fern, Maya and Womble on the 30 May 2017. They were all healthy pups and settled into the shelter with no problems.
