Gracie went to the vets today. X rays showed that there is no break but her leg is very badly damaged and full of infection. Blood tests showed that she is fighting infection. The vet said there is no feeling in the leg and says there is a 90 per cent chance that it will have to be amputated. She has to stay on antibiotics for three weeks to try and get rid of the infection and then she goes back and a decision will be made. We are struggling to get her to eat this evening but hopefully it is just that the journey was a lot for her and she will get her appetite back tomorrow.
