Wolfy, Tallulah, Snoopy and Bella were all microchipped and vaccinated today. The vet will be back next week to do Samson, Lucky and Tuffy. I am so glad that Sil and Vera have found a home for Lucky. It is great that she will live near to them. They have worked so hard to find homes for the dogs.xxx

Member Posts: 9 | Dear Diane, here Marloes from Holland. I am so glad that Lucky is going to stay with us! We can't wait to have her here with us! I was wondering if you could tell me something about her character and her background (as far as you know...) Do you think she is going to be a medium or large sized dog? I could only tell from the pictures she a mixture of shepperds... Well, I think you are doing a great job over there! I will definately tell people about it and hopefully some more people will decide to donate or adopt a dog. With kind regards, Marloes

Hi Marloes, It is lovely to hear from someone who is having one of the dogs. We think Lucky will be a medium sized dog. She is a very happy little girl, who loves attention and loves to play. She gets on well with the other dogs. She was very tiny when we found her and even though she had a struggle to survive, I don't think she remembers any of it. Some of the dogs have trouble trusting people and are a bit afraid, but not Lucky. She just wants to be your friend. It is funny when we look at pictures of her from weeks ago as her colour changes so much. the older she gets, the clour on her face gets lighter. If you want to know anything else, just ask. Big hugs for taking one of our babies. Diane.

Heard from Sil and Vera that someone wants to adopt Snoopy. Also someone saw a picture of Fluffypup in the forest and wants to adopt her. We are going to get her chipped and vaccinated this week and see if there is room for another dog to travel. If not we will keep Lulah or Wolfy here who havent yet been adopted and she can take their place. At least they have settees to sleep on at night.

Sil, you are so funny, your post made me smile
You are so right to thank Diane & family, they are doing such a great job. But it must also be heartening for them to know that people are following their work and trying to help in so many ways. Seeing people log on to this site and post messages of support matters as much as donations and gifts, so please (everybody!) don't stop.
You and Vera must take some credit for your efforts, without you, the dogs would not be travelling to their new lives so soon and allowing Diane to start helping some of the other dogs that remain behind.
I can't wait to hear the news and see the pics of the dogs with their new owners and to see which lucky dogs receive the care from the family next!!
Julie xx

I can't believe it is just a week away before the first 8 dogs go. You are so right Jools. Sil and Vera have done a great job and have worked really hard. It does mean so much to us to know that so many people care about the dogs. There are times when our spirits are really low and support means everything. It is also great seeing the dogs in their posh collars and giving them treats and toys that you and others have kindly sent. Lily is very heavily pregnant so we are now building a big kennel for her in the garden. More dogs for adoption and hopefuly Lily's last litter. xxx

Hi there, I just wanted you to know that you are all amazing! The work that you do is, eventhough it might be hard sometimes, wonderful!!! Think of all the dogs that will find a loving home because of you!!! And think of all the people who will find a new familymember in one of those dogs!!! All the joy and wonderful moments this will bring! I am sure the thoughts of many people are with you and I am definately one of them! I am counting the days, watching the empty basket that is waiting for Lucky and putting away the new toys and collar that I bought and also her future eating bowls... If she would only know that I can hardly sleep because I am so excited to meet her and get to know her! Without you this would not have been possible! Take care and keep up the good work!!! Hi Diane and family Have been thinking of you all today and the dogs of course! Have just been reading about some awful cases in Greece, it seems animal cruelty just goes on and on, thank goodness some of us have souls and morals. Take care all of you Jools xx

The time is nearly here to say goodbye to more of our lovely dogs. Rosie and the 16 pups, will be leaving us tomorrow. We know Keith and Chris will take good care of them on the journey and Sil and Vera will be there with the new owners to greet them and give them plenty of hugs. Fluffy (now Mila) will also be there with her new mum, Kim, to greet the dogs. People from many different countries will be eagerly awaiting news on the dogs arrival. Our dogs are certainly loved. Thank you to everyone who helps and supports us and all the RSDR team, for making this possible. Diane.xxx

5th Sept 16 pups and Rosie left us yesterday and are on their way to their new families in Holland. It was tough saying goodbye to them all. We are all eagerly awaiting news and pictures of their arrival which should be late tomorrow afternnon. We had a lovely surprise when Pet Chauffeurs arrived. One of our supporters had arranged directly with keith to bring bags of food, puppy milk, bones and biscuits to us. Many thanks to Julie Lewis.
