Hi everyone, I am new to this site and just wanted to introduce myself. I live in N.Ireland and sponsor a dog with the Dogs Trust and look forward to being able to do the same for street dog also. I look forward to coming on here on a regular basis to keep myself informed what is happening and also spreading awareness to my family and friends. I had never heard of Rudozem Street Dog Rescue until today and it was so very sad to read about the plight of these animals. I hope I can do something to help

Hi Dinky welcome to the site and thank you for helping the RSDR and spreading the word.... I came across the RSDR through their facebook group called Bulgarian Street Dogs and I now try to help them with fundraising & Media awareness. If you want to vew the Facebook Group page, go to the "groups" page and press on the Facebook Profile link, you will see lots of members (over 4000 members), photos and videos on the group.
Check out the Blog on the website also, aswell as the events page, as we will try to keep updating everything that is happening, aswell as new photos and videos.
If you want to help with Fundraising or just creating awareness, there are some topics on the Forums with discussions about Fundraising and Media Awareness.
Thank you for joining the RSDR Family and we look forward to seeing your comments :-)
Warm hugsss xxxx Anita x

Hello everyone! I'm sorry...my reply really should have been posted under a different topic, but I couldn't figure out how to add a paragraph to your blog area. I am very much angered, and taken aback by the disdainful attitude and cruelty towards animals in Bulgaria. I know nothing about Bulgarian culture or mores...can anyone familiar with the people in this area give me a little more background as to why they don't know or care that their behavior is wrong? I suppose it would be useless to ask where the law enforcement is on this issue...law enforcement doesn't really care even in the US. I will become a member of your fine effort, but must wait for my situation to improve first...my work just recently went back to full time, and it has been all I can do to keep my dog rescue afloat. Thank you for being such motivated and caring people! Deb Conner, Southern Indiana Rescue Effort

Hi Lightspeed
I have put the Forum heading back up in our Headings, so it's easier to access all of the Forum Topics and you can make your own Topics.
Thank you very much for your support and all that you do with the Southern Indiana Rescue.
I will get Diane to explain more about the locals in the area and why attiudes are different about Animal Welfare.
There is hope though as some of the locals are starting to change and Support what the RSDR are doing.

Hi Laura,
Animal cruelty is sad and upsetting. I have found that people who are cruel to animals and not to Humans, only do it because an Animal can't tell someone, like a Human can.. But animals do feel pain and emotion just as much as we do!!, so we need to be their voice for them and try to help & fight for them as much as possible.
Diane & Tony Rowles at RSDR are wonderful people who are doing everything possible to help the street dogs in Bulgaria, and hopefully if we can raise enough money for their shelter, they can help many more dogs suffering.
Thank you for your kind words, and your support. Animals do deserve to be loved and respected.
love and hugs

Joanna that's fantastic that your doing so much for your own rescue in chicago !! I admire your dedication and committment towards your dogs . xxx
Thank you for helping spread the word, we need as much promotion as far and wide as possible about the RSDR.
We are trying to help the Rowles family raise enough money so they can purchase land and build a shelter, so they can help more dogs in need. If you can help by letting people know about RSDR, that would be fantastic.
thank you
