Latest News from Diane

24th June

The six husky pups, Pippin, Willow, Khan, Trixie and William all left us today to go to Holland. It was very hard to say goodbye to them but hopefully once we see pictures of them with their new families, it will help ease the heartache. The dogs are due to arrive in Holland on sunday.

This morning we got up to find that Tilly and Hana had dug under their fence and were in the pen with Jessie the husky. They were all running and playing so happily so we have left them in there with her.

We have noticed that Sandi, the little pup that we recently took in, appears to be going blind in one eye. The worry is that with her being so young, it could be progressive retinal atrophy which would mean that she could be totally blind before she is 6 months old. We will get the vet to look at her but with lack of vet specialists there is probably little that can be done in Bulgaria.

25th June

Kerry and Kosta just found another little pup in the road in a village way out of town. He was so hungry he was eating fallen cherries. He has been fed and will soon have a bath. He is being kept away from the other pups at the moment as the hair appears to be thininning on his face. Hopefully it will be flea allergic ...dermatitis and will soon clear up once treated. We have called him Freddy.

Advocate for the dogs.  Advocate helps with skin problems, internal worms, fleas, and lice.  If anyone can donate towards

Advocate, please go to our Online Shop and press on Flea / Worm Treatment Donations.

30th June

All the dogs arrived safely in Holland on Sunday. Nanuk was to be fostered but on meeting him, the foster family decided that were going to adopt Nanuk and his sister Crow. Only Pippin is in foster and she is with Monica, one of our team members. We have had updates on all the dogs and they are all doing really well.

A man has just been up to the house and asked if we could take 2 pups. He has the mother who is a little dog with only 3 legs. We often see her as she follows him and his horse everywhere they go. He says he loves the mother and would never part with her and wouldn't put the pups on the street but can't afford to keep them. Tony has gone to collect the pups now.

2nd July

Freddy is doing much better. His skin doesn't look as sore and he wants to play all the time which is a good sign.

Sadie is doing really well. She spends most of the day with Matty, Heather and Brownie and should be joining them permanently soon.

The team in Holland are busy trying to re-home Simba (now called Levi) after his owner has received warnings from the police over his barking. His picture is in the photos on the group.

We would appreciate any help by people crossposting this and the sponsor appeal pics. None of the pups on the pics have sponsors and most of the other pups only have one sponsor. Sponsorship is 9 euros a month and runs for 12 months. We need at least two sponsors for each pup or dog to cover costs of feed, milk, worming, monthly flea control and any medical costs that arise.
