11th June

We found Sadie last night after she has been nowhere to be found for the past 6 days. The poor girl was looking very weak and exhausted. She was very hungry. She had some food and we gave her some water and she then wandered off. It is heart breaking to know that even if we could catch her, we can't do any more for her just yet.

PHOTO ABOVE:  Sadie looks even worse than when we last saw her 6 days ago. She is thin, weak and exhausted and most likely now she is pregnant. Today and tonight we looked and couldn't find her. We now have 40 dogs at the house. By the time we have room for Sadie, it could be too late. Each day that we don't see her we don't know if she is dead or alive or if she has been hurt or abused. It is a living hell for her and the same for us having to leave her. We NEED a shelter. Please help by crossposting. Donations can be made through the website http://www.streetdogrescue.com

Lily came to Liam's rescue yesterday. The boys and some of their friends were down at the river and as usual Lily had followed them.  A man was walking his German Shepherd "security' dog and it was off the lead. The dog ran at Liam aggressively. The man shouted at Liam to stand still, which he did but the dog went for him anyway.  It had grabbed his shirt and was shaking him around when Lily just charged into the dog. The dog let go of Liam to go after Lily.  Lily ran off with the dog chasing her but found the boys soon after and she was unhurt. This is the 2nd time that Lily has protected one of us. The first time was when Einstein came running across a field to attack Kerry. lily heard him and just as he jumped over the fence at Kerry, she charged into him. Unfortunately many people deliberately make their dogs aggressive to use them as guard dogs. They aren't properly trained and very often the owners are then unable to control them. This was also the case with Einstein. When he does go back, the owner is unable to even get a collar on him. I do know that we are very grateful to Lily.

Photo above of Heroine Lily.  Lily is one of many dogs available for adoption.  She would make someone such a loving pet.  She is very affectionate, loyal and protective.

I'm sorry Joanie but could you please verify what you mean? Do you mean state as in country or state as in condition? Thank you.
