Help us to help them

Luke has been taken to the hospital

Posted on May 25, 2013 at 10:00 PM

For those that don't know, Tony wrote a post earlier on facebook saying that he and Diane would not be online for awhile and will not be able to answer messages or emails.

Luke their son has been taken to hosptial.  He suffered a fit, and from the fit, a small heart attack.  Diane is at the hospital in Smolian with him currently.  Luke has come around at the hospital and Luke is now talking.  The doctors are doing tests.  Tony has advised he will update us later on what is happening, so please keep Luke in all your thoughts and send your love.  You can leave messages for Luke on our facebook page at:  or on this blog.

This is a photo of Luke only a few days ago, when he released a bird he had rescued. Luke is a courageous young man, and we all are hoping for a speedy recovery. Please keep him all in your thoughts and love.

If anyone can help RSDR's shelter going, especially at this hard time for the Rowles family they would appreciate it very much. Donations will help with feeding & medicines for the animals, aswell as go towards the very much needed renovations to the shelter.  It was only a few months ago, that a Municipality representative has said to RSDR that if the shelter is not up to EU standard soon, then Diane Rowles (Lukes mum) as she is the founder, will be charged and sent to prison.

So we are urgently needing donations to renovate the shelter. If anyone can help in this time of need. Please go to the donate page of our website

I am so sorry to hear about Lukes health issue right now. From what I've seen at RSDR's site, he's such a sweetie and a loving young man. Please take care of yourselves and I will keep Luke in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

This is my first time hearing about your rescue organization and all that you do- I followed a few links on facebook to get here. I can only imagine the hardships, and the video on your site makes my throat hurt. I work at an animal hospital in the united states, and I worked a few years in an animal shelter as well. I just wanted to say, to see other people that are this kind to and look at for animals this much...there are no words. You guys are great. I don't even know you , and I'm so proud of you. I'm so sorry to hear about what Luke is going through. Only from reading about a few of the things he has done, and seeing pictures, I can tell he's a good person. Animals are lucky to have him on their side. I wish him a quick recovery, and I wish your shelter the absolute best of luck. What you're doing is amazing, and you all deserve nothing but the best. It takes a strong heart to do all this. I just wanted to say thank you, for watching out for and trying to change the luck of these animals. Its a breath of air to see others wanting to help. I don't run in to very many with the will as strong. Thank you. I do like Luke's paw print tattoo. I actually got one too, of a german shepherd I had that passed away from cancer. Although, mine's not on my neck, a little too painful of a spot for me :)
